Nintendo Switch 2 Set for Hong Kong Launch on June 5, 2025
Nintendo has officially announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch in Hong Kong on June 5, 2025, aligning with its global release schedule. The standard console will be priced at HKD 3,450 (approximately USD 443), while a bundle featuring the highly anticipated Mario Kart World will retail for HKD 3,750 (approximately USD 481) .
To celebrate the launch, the Assemble Nintendo Switch store in Wan Chai will host a midnight release event, potentially making Hong Kong the first location worldwide to offer the console to consumers. Customers who pre-ordered the device will have the opportunity to pick up their consoles at midnight on June 5. Attendees will also receive a limited-edition commemorative gift and a HKD 50 voucher applicable to future purchases over HKD 500, excluding Nintendo Switch 2 products .
The Nintendo Switch 2 boasts significant hardware upgrades over its predecessor. Key features include a 7.9-inch HDR LCD screen capable of 120 frames per second, 256GB of internal storage, enhanced speakers with 3D audio, and a sturdier kickstand.
